Georgia Tech is accepting applications from faculty interested in presenting their research ideas to the Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation during their visit to campus on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Only faculty who can present in person on October 16th will be eligible to participate.

The Curci funds basic and applied research with particular interests in neuroscience/brain science, regenerative medicine, cell biology including stem cells, cancer, and nanotechnology/nanoscience, although they are quite open to exciting basic science in biomedical research, in general.

The Curci is looking for high-risk/high-reward ideas that are new directions for outstanding early career faculty researchers. Eligible faculty members must be pre-tenure or within 3 years of tenure. The Foundation funds single-investigator projects at a level of up to $250K per year for up to two years.

Georgia Tech will hold an internal competition to identify selected faculty. Submit an Internal Application by September 5, 2025 at 5pm.
